A few days old but I missed that they promised to return them after vetting.

Would be interesting for Mueller team to turn them over to trump team (give them the PHOTOCOPIES**). Then, IF they return them to Mueller, check to see what Trump considers 'privilege' information. !!

Donald Trump's transition team on Sunday demanded that Special Counsel Robert Mueller return "tens of thousands" of emails that were sent and received on government accounts before the 45th president took office.

A "source close to Trump's transition told Axios on Sunday that the team plans to send a letter to Mueller this week demanding the return of emails that were reportedly obtained by the Special Counsel's Office.

In the letter, the transition officials plan to say they will promise to return the emails to Mueller after "privilege" documents are redacted, according to Axios. ...............................

The GSA has copies of the Emails. Trump's lawyers have copies of the Emails. Mueller has copies of the Emails.

Mueller could only "give them back" if he deleted the copies that he obtained.

"give them back" = what exactly? send copies? delete all backups? highly unlikely. plus Mueller's team has had them all for months!

at this point, it seems to me like it's up to the courts to regard them as evidence-worthy or not, transition officials can take their "vetting" and shove it up their collective redacted rectum.
