Chris Christie says it is not "illegal" if someone truly forgets...

He was discussing, what the FBI told Trump about the Russians infiltrating our government, on Nicolle Wallace's show yesterday. He suggested that Trump might have forgotten?

I thought that was a rather silly argument.

Someone might forget to pick up the mail or get some milk at the supermarket, but to forget that the FBI warns you that the Russians might try to infiltrate our government is another matter entirely. It is unbelievable.

Because if Trump were to forget something so important and so critical to our national security, it would prove that he is incompetent to hold the office. No more proof would be needed.

When he hosted Saturday Night Live on January 21, 1978, comedian Steve Martin explained how to be a millionaire and never pay taxes. Martin said, “First … get a million dollars. Now … you say, Steve … what do I say to the tax man when he comes to my door and says, ‘You … have never paid taxes.’? Two simple words. Two simple words in the English language: ‘I forgot!’ How many times do we let ourselves get into terrible situations because we don’t say ‘I forgot’?”

but he then went on to explain that when "I forgot" doesn't work, it was time for two more words:

Chris, bubbaleh, what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, but lose his soul? And look at what you've gained! Hardly the whole world, boychik. You like closing bridges; ever thought of jumping off of one?
