1. It is. And it hurts badly. It's hurting one of my 3 kids already right now.

Sometimes I feel like I'm ready to explode because of that.

At the same time, we lost for a lot of reasons, one of which is the effect of neo-liberal economic policy/triangulating to the center, and selling out labor and the middle class in the process.

I don't think saying "this is what happens when you don't vote or vote third party" is going to be enough to sustain Democratic Party control/majorities long if and when we regain it. I'm sure we'll regain it, but without major changes in the party's economic arc, our majority won't be sustainable. When people hurt they do irrational things. That's common sense -- a basic understanding we all should be able to grasp. Though I have to wonder.

ps -- there are plenty of us here who feel about this the same as I do and have plenty of personal anecdotal experience and evidence to draw on. as there are plenty of non- and third party voters who gave up on our party already. ignore us/them at your own peril.

I'm done now. If you can't tell, I'm fed up with this argument. EVERY FRIGGEN VOTE COUNTS -- and we HAVE TO EARN THEM!

And oh yeah, MERRY CHRISTMAS.

I presict another depression in 3-5 years. People don’t vote in America. How many eligible voters did not vote in the last 5 presidential elections? even more true for off years and forget about local elections. We live in a country with the world’s brightest people and dumbest people. And nothing is going to change.
