"Danny Davis is next" threatening email reportedly warns

Illinois Congressman Danny Davis on Sunday said his office received a threatening email.

According to Davis' office, the threat said, in effect, "Danny Davis is next," presumably referring to Saturday's shooting in Tucson, Ariz. that critically wounded Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and killed six others.

Davis' office said it has notified authorities about the threatening email. The congressman is in Springfield in advance of Monday's inaugural festivities.

Several Illinois politicians have decried Saturday's shooting and have offered up their prayers and sympathies.

Cell churches are often autonomous, closed communities. There is a hierarchy within the church but no formal affiliation with an established denomination. However, they may work with other churches on social issues (abortion for the conservatives, maybe stopping mountain-top removal for socially liberal cell churches). Many of these militia groups seem to think they're rooted in Christianity. :eyes: I'd known about the types of cells you're speaking of, of course, but I've never before considered how the two types of cells might be informing and shaping each other. :(

I thought from the start that Loughner's videos sounded like a dog-whistle of some kind, aimed at a specific, "literate" (his word, not mine) audience. I agree it might have been a cell activation call.

Expect a Republican to get some sort of 'threat' within the next 2 or 3 days.

Remember when Dem offices were being vandalized all across the nation last year? Eric Cantor came out and said someone shot his office. I think that was proven to be bullshit, but still...

I guarantee the Republicans will keep the propaganda parade going.
