Feds investigate brick thrown at Louise Slaughter's office in Niagara Falls

On the eve of the historic health care reform vote, federal officials are investigating a brick thrown through a window of the Niagara Falls office of U.S. Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-Fairport.

The incident occurred early Friday, when no one was in the office, said Slaughter spokeswoman Victoria Dillon. There was no note or message on the brick, she said.

“Because she is a federal official, they’re taking this very seriously,” Dillon said. “The U.S. Capitol police and the FBI are working on it.”

Slaughter, who is in Washington, heard about the incident, Dillon said.

“She wanted to make sure everyone’s OK,” she said.

I keep telling myself that this site, and other sites on the web, are only a micro part of the whole...BUT...I have been reading some really terrible stuff...and I hope the violence displayed so far is NOT escaping the attention of any of our representatives in DC...and I also hope that there are those who are monitoring other sites..because I sure as hell am concerned about what's being discussed...I was recently thrown off a site, for defending Obama...it's not even a political site..(supposedly)some of these people are purely nuts...I have read such garbage, I can't even believe it's possible for people to think that way(especially when you consider what the last resident of the WH accomplished while in office)...and then to see tens more agreeing with them...then there are those encouraging others to continue escalating the violence...I dunno...I just hope it's not going unnoticed, and that no one is discounting it lightly...wb

Last summer, a neighbor shared with me in a "veiled threat" sort of way, that there are websites where people talk about Obama as the antiChrist. I felt sick to my stomach, especially knowing by the way she said it, that she surfs those sites!
