NM: Secretary of State Announces New Absentee Ballot Tracking System [View all]

With the absentee ballot request deadline for the primary election is approaching, Secretary of State Maggie Toulouse Oliver announced Tuesday the launch of a new absentee ballot tracking system that gives detailed information to voters about the delivery and return status of their absentee ballot.

“With our new ballot tracking system, we’ve improved upon our existing system by now offering more information to voters about where exactly their absentee ballot is in the mailing process and giving voters the ability to sign up for email or text notifications so they always know the status of their mailed ballot,” Toulouse Oliver said.

Any qualified New Mexico voter can vote using an absentee ballot. The deadline to request an absentee ballot for the June 4 primary election is May 21.

Absentee ballots must be returned no later than 7 p.m. June 4 and can be mailed back to the county clerk’s office or dropped off at any polling location or secure ballot dropbox in your county.
