12. The one, very minor, upside to electing Jim Justice as senator

is that the man will probably rarely show up in Washington.

He was sued in state court for not living in the state capitol of Charleston but, instead, continuing to live in his home in White Sulphur Springs, about 130 miles away. He would have the state police drive him to Charleston once or twice a week, I think. I say I think because he tends to appear via Zoom when he appears in public.

Why does he live out in the boondocks of Greenbrier County, population 33,000? A couple of reasons - he and his family own the world-famous resort, The Greenbrier. Theoretically, his daughter has been running the place since he became governor in 2017. But more importantly, he is the girls' basketball coach for Greenbrier East High School since 2003. He was the boys' coach, too, until he became governor. He is there for nearly every game - that will be a tough 250-mile commute to DC!
