Feds: Rioter Couple Raided Pelosi's Office, Stormed the Senate, Then Kicked a Cop in the Groin

Source: Daily Beast

The Pennsylvania couple took selfies in Pelosi’s office before taking a seat in Senate chairs assigned to Sens. Kevin Cramer and Patrick Toomey, the FBI said.

A bullhorn-wielding Pennsylvania woman breached the U.S. Capitol with her husband on Jan. 6, took selfies in Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s office, then kicked a cop in the groin on her way out, according to a federal complaint unsealed Thursday.

Jeanette Mangia, 44, and Joseph Pastucci, 49, were arrested by FBI agents in New Cumberland on Wednesday, more than two years after the failed pro-Trump insurrection. They each face nine criminal counts, court records show.

The pair got into the building around 2:15 p.m. that day, just minutes after the first wave of Trump supporters smashed windows on either side of the Senate Wing Door, which they quickly unlocked, allowing the crowd to start flowing inside, the complaint states.

Once there, Pastucci, in a camouflage-print “Veterans for Trump” hat and a blue Yamaha jacket, and Mangia, who had on a blue Trump hat with a red-and-white megaphone in her hand, hung a left and began moving toward to Lower Senate Corridors, the complaint goes on. (It does not say whether or not Pastucci actually served.)“Pastucci and Mangia entered the Speaker’s office suite shortly before 2:36 p.m.,” it says. “Inside of the office Mangia took a seat in a chair and appeared to instruct Pastucci to take a photograph of her.”

Twelve minutes later, Mangia and Pastucci followed a band of rioters to the second-floor Senate Chamber, according to the complaint, which says the couple then allegedly “walked up and down the aisle for several minutes before sitting down” in seats assigned to Sen. Kevin Cramer of North Dakota and then-Sen. Patrick Toomey of Pennsylvania, both Republicans.

and be rewarded bigly by Trump for being Freedom fighters who helped Trump become the first Dictator for life in the history of the US.

How did that turn out for them?

Future psychology students will have lengthy discussions why people can be deluded like this.

The words 'Fox', 'Trump's rhetoric' and 'brainwashing' will feature heavily in such discussions, I'm sure.

Well, he IS going to serve....some hard time.

Nine criminal counts including assault and battery on a police officer. I hope they get convicted and get sentenced to prison time on every single one of them.

As another poster noted above, eff this Trump trash.

Pennsylvania Man Found Guilty of Assaulting Law Enforcement and Other Charges Related to Jan. 6 Capitol Breach (U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Columbia)

WASHINGTON – A Pennsylvania man was found guilty in the District of Columbia today of assaulting law enforcement and multiple other charges related to his conduct during the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol. His actions and those of others disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress convened to ascertain and count the electoral votes related to the 2020 presidential election.

Joseph Pastucci, 50, of New Cumberland, Pennsylvanian, was convicted of three felony offenses, including obstruction of an official proceeding, civil disorder, and assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers.

In addition to the felonies, Pastucci was convicted of eight misdemeanor offenses, including entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds; entering and remaining on the floor of Congress; entering and remaining in certain rooms in the Capitol building; disorderly conduct in a Capitol building; act of physical violence in the Capitol grounds or buildings; and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building.

Pastucci was convicted following a stipulated bench trial before U.S. District Judge Beryl A. Howell. Judge Howell will sentence him on August 2, 2024.
