He said she was a very happy and kind person and was sorry his own struggles prevented him from having a longer relationship with her.

News like this makes me automatically think: what if this happened to me? And if it did, it wouldn’t make any difference. I don’t know what could ever make me not love my babies.

Just damn glad they came.

Thanks for this post!

I LOVE Jamie Lee Curtis. She's always been such an advocate for progressive causes. I didn't realize she has a trans child.

She's wonderful!

That photograph of her and Ruby is so beautiful.

This society is so backward, snarky and nasty about things they don't understand.

What is so wrong about letting people express who they really are, loving who they want to love and being true to themselves?

Complete androgen insensitivity syndrome. The receptors on their cells responsible for sexual development of male gentitalia, testes, and secondary sexual charcteristics just don't respond to the androgens secreted in utero and at puberty...AT ALL! She's considered intersex, as is her sister. Wonderful that she supports her child.

at a convention in the Caymans. I first learned about this upon reading about her experiences folllowing that same events, (which is saying something because I'm always looking into new & rare pathogens, syndromes & disease processes.) ONCE AGAIN, the rumor was that she was a hermaphrodite, when she isn't. She's just in the state, PERPETUALLY SPEAKING, we ALL start life in.

Would that be the "CAIS 2016" event?
Otherwise known as that year's "Cayman Alternate Investment Summit" event?
https://www.caymanfundsmagazine.com/news/actress-jamie-lee-curtis-to-speak-at-cais-2016-417

This was a gathering at which the topics were financial, not physical or sexually themed, despite the CAIS acronym that also happens to apply to the condition you reference.

Jay Leno and Meghan Markle were speakers at the CAIS 2016 as well.

I think that perhaps the CAIS acronym for the financial summit has been conflated with the one for the physical condition when it comes to Jamie Lee Curtis. If you have a link to any record of Jamie Lee Curtis speaking about actually having this condition, please post it and correct me.
